Am I the only one reading this thread that thinks that PCLN might survive as a company? Where do you predict the stock will be when they go bankrupt? With all those ticket sales by UAL and Delta they must be the stocks to own. I bet if a guy had bought their stock 5 years ago, he would be rich beyond his wildest dreams! Could you explain the basis of your hatred for this company, did they do something to you, or do you just hate them because they are there?

Tom,

What broker are you using to short Pricline so readily?

Even Datek, the once-known-mother-of-getting-stock-to-short has made many stocks unmarginable [PCLN], or marginable but unshortable.

I've only been able to short the big boys [YHOO, AMZN, AOL, EBAY, RNWK] on expected downturns. Otherwise, I play the downside w/ puts on CMGI, etc. Currently - puts on YHOO AOL and CMGI. Short RNWK.

Just curious.

<<...Chimnoy, since PCLN is worth more than UAL and Delta combined, I wonder how the two airlines compare in terms of ticket sales? Wouldn't surprised me if UAL and Delta sell 186,000 tickets in just an hour.>>

Would you happen to have the cost of doing business for PCLN and for both UAL and Delta? Would you happen to have the inventory risk foe PCLN and Delta/UAL? What would UAL/Delta do on a economic downturn? PCLN is soon going to diversify into other businesses soon. Would UAL/Delta diversify to care care of the economic downturn situation.
Cash flow for UAL/Delta versus PCLN.

I am sure investors have already taken a hard look at these scenarios and have let the stock of PCLN run up to levels such that PCLN's valuation today execeeds those of the airlines.

Something to think about before you let your feelings run wild and believe you to declare that PCLN would soon run down to 55.

PCLN is worth more than UAL and Delta combined

even though Delta owns warrants to buy 18.6 million shares of PCLN at around $0.90 /share.

Regards.

I shorted earlier this morning at 146 1/2... IM laughing my ass off to the bank. PCLN discustingly overvalued. CMGI is worth less than 1/2 of PCLN?????? GIVe me a break!!!
