JGoren: Trying to fly into DFW from mid-August through mid-October (which I do a lot on way to Mexico) is buying a guaranteed one hour minimum delay on landing and/or take-off, as the airport seems to be right smack-dab in the middle of the T-storm (tornado) belt. Any truth to notion that it was considered to locate the major regional airport farther west (closer to Waco), which would have put it more out of harm's way, but Dallas politicos wouldn't hear of it?
