Agreed $Mogul, those are all good examples. IPOs almost always go down the week or a couple weeks after their first trading day. We are also in the midst of a internet correction, which doesn't help things short-term. The big net companies are always shopping for smaller niche net companies. I expect NETP will be purchased within the year.

Here are charts of other IPOs within the past year. Note the dropoff at the beginning of EVERY chart. Amazing, but people will buy high and sell low, and then kick themselves after the stocks run.

Here are the charts (they speak volumes) : quote.yahoo.com

I did some more DD and boarded the NETP train this morning -- at just over $20/share. IMHO, Net Perceptions is really on sale now. This company is young and not fully understood in the marketplace. They have excellent management. I have talked with the President and VP of Marketing when the company was much younger...I was VERY impressed with them. The NETP technology is cutting edge and their recommendation engine could become a standard just as the e-commerce revolution is about to take off. This morning I talked with the company and with one of their backers -- Piper Jaffrey. I got good responses to my questions and verified that 30 days after NETP his the market "the quiet period" would be over. IMHO, all of NETP's high profile backers (Robbie Stephens, H & Q, and Piper Jaffrey) could issue coverage on this company in the next few months. I see very little downside from the current prices and I think we could run up into the triple digits by the end of this calander year (with the right market, brokerage support, and new contracts). I plan to watch the company carefully and will continue to build my position as appropriate.

Soon we'll be off to the Races..!!

Best Regards,

Scott
