Saw an interesting interview on CNN tonight with the CEO of Priceline.com

Priceline.com CEO said that they were patenting the business model meaning no other online business could copy their method of receiving offers for ticket/mortgage, et cetera, prices via the online low bid process that Priceline uses.

The CEO stated that they had a whole series of patents or patents pending to protect their "intellectual" property so that others don't just simply copy what they are doing. The CEO of Priceline also was in charge of another business entity that was in the business of identifying, patenting and protecting business models online.

Now if Priceline.com can do this with their strategy, why can't TSIG.com patent their "card" strategy to pre-empt other from emulating TSIG.com's business model.

Gordon or whomever, should immediately attempt to patent this business strategy if Priceline.com has already done or is doing the same.

Just thinking aloud.
