Mike: It is more than a CFO that needs changing.

Mgmt levels have less accountability in Canada than in the States. There are a lot of cover ups based on the old school boy networks; so top Mgmt are kept in the dark as long as possible. In turn top Mgmt, to avoid any confrontation, prefer not to anticipate or feret out a negative outcome till it happens.

What was the head roll count for all the Sales shortfalls, the U.B and other disasters. Near zero , I would imagine.

The big MAC (Mutual Admiration club) have had their days of glory. I will admit that in days gone by (1996 and earlier) they did a great job. The whole Organisation now needs new blood at every Mgmt level. I would say a 30% replacement of all Middle line and Senior Managers will inject a new vigor.

I know this will be painful but the alternative will be a Sell OUT to
a more pragmatic Owner who will also do the same.

Mike: I did look for +ve's during todays trading. The volume was less than anticipated ; Institutional selling was only 50% of the days total. That tells me that the Book to Bill of 1.2 (though inflated
because of Production) has made the next Q a lttle more attractive.

Much depends on how NN will shape up between now and June 4 or so when another CC will be held. The COO needs to establish

a:The quarterly ATM/TDM revenue capacity both normal and in overdrive

b:The changes in the Organisaton to achieve these objectives and firm dates.

c:The numbers of new Appointments and lost jobs.

Let me know if you think your COO is up to the task.?
