Howdy y'all! No one EVER stated that ABFG's funds would be given to "Cody" or any other "physically challenged" shareholder! Todd Violette simply stated that perhaps part of the proceeds from the art auction that ABFG is getting red-eye to have could be used for that purpose. Yeah, I know - Those ARE ABFG's funds right? Welllll, not if some of the articles were donated for that specific purpose by people or organizations that wished to help "Cody". If items were donated to ABFG to be sold for that purpose (to help "Cody") would that not be "part" of the proceeds from the auction? Hello? Anyone home? LOL!

Geeeez, you guyz are too BAD! NOTICE how ABFG denied that ANY ABFG funds would be used for that purpose. Duh!

Surely, y'all can do better than that! ;)

Happy Trades...Kowboy

Well, he just denied that ABFG funds were going to Cody.

Thank you. I would have to disagree with Janice Shell's position that calling the company is a bad idea. I also learn by listening to politicians; but a careful and thoughtful listener can discern more than what is contained in the words alone, often, as you have done, by comparing different words.

Also, most humans have an apparently ingrained resistance to lying in a direct encounter. For example, an advertisement that says "Better than any leading brand" suggests that there may actually be a better product, but the speaker is able to consider it not a "leading" brand.

There are individuals in whom this circuit seems to be disabled. I never do business with those persons.

One of the saddest things about "faceless" electronic communication, such as this forum, is the apparent reduced involvement the conscience has in the pseudo-anonymous message. In many cases, there is no apparent twinge of guilt, or tell-tale "careful wording" at all. I have a theory about this, and the level of rudeness that goes on here; the idea stems from the following quotation (this is from memory and dates back decades):

"Barbarians are more polite than civilized men; the civilized man knows he can be casually rude without getting his head bashed in, as a general thing."

It seems that the personal distance afforded by cyberspace is stripping from us the last vestiges of the need to be polite. Think how different these conversations would be if we were in the same room!

I have seen many incredulous references to the idea that people would participate in this thread for reasons other than being a shareholder. It seems to me, however, that this thread stands ready to shoulder soap operas out of the way. A perverse fascination, combined with certainties as to the outcome but not the timeframe, continue to bring me back here.

To all: May you get what you deserve -- make sure that you deserve the very best.
