Do analysts ever get sued?

Seems to me I have lost more money following their "strong buy" recommendations then suffering their downgrades than by any information I have gotten from the company.

Also: there is a new post on Bill Larson looking out for #1 from theSteet.com. Anyone who has not worn out their (free) welcome there able to read this and tell me whether it is positive or (most likely) negative?

NETA rising to 29 1/2 is only a hypothetical situation at this point. I brought up the subject in case someone adopted the strategy of buying the stock and selling covered calls. As mentioned earlier, the options model are calculating the probability as being less than 5% that the stock will rise to $26 by Jan 2001. But, please keep in mind that options model only reflect the current reality. Things can change in a heartbeat. I have no clue when NETA is going to see 29.5.

The Street.com story is quite disheartening. Bill Larson and his pals are running NETA for their personal reasons. Where do the shareholders and the employees fit in? Whenever I listened to NETA's conference calls, I would get slightly nauseous listening to management praising itself. But I thought that they were doing it for the shareholders. Now the conviction is forming that management was in it just for themselves. Or is the street.com playing the negative angle on NETA to the hilt?
