Zebra,

One of the best posts I have ever read. Wonderful. Like you, I cannot stand it when a misunderstood principle of physics is twisted around to provide 'proof' of a poorly thought out opinion.

My favorite book for the interested layman in modern physics is "The Cosmic Code : Quantum Physics As the Language of Nature"
by Heinz R. Pagels.

I picked it up in a drugstore in Little Rock, Arkansas of all places. On the flight back home, I was lost to the non-quantum world. I really thought of Heinz Pagels as a close teacher, although I never met the man. I was devastated when I read of his death while climbing Maroon Bells here in Colorado. What a loss to students of physics everywhere.
