My understanding is that ASTN is in the process of being listed as their own SEPARATE EXCHANGE...therefore they will not require any of the other exchanges to operate...strategic alliances with NYSE would always be welcome I assume...any other comments?

I was under the impression that the AMEX-PHLX merger talks were conducted before the Nasdaq-Amex talks started. Correct me if I am wrong - after the Nasdaq-Amex merger, Amex has dropped its plans for merging with PHLX.
