I added STDI as a long term position to my core portfolio with the thinking that strong demand for internet security in our ever evolving e-commerce this e-commerce that world, would secure much business for STDI going forward. After watching the performance of VRSN for some time, I thought I'd missed the boat, but after the last dip down to the pivotal $15 lvl, I didn't hesitate.

I wonder if STDI is lagging due to the recent sell-off in VRSN. VRSN seems to be hitting support near $100 currently, and hopefully it will bounce up from this level. Relatively speaking, SDTI's prospects for appreciation look very good in the current environment.

Analysts have mentioned that the market is overlooking security companies at the moment and focusing on Y2K, but if you think about it fundamentally, internet e-commerce traffic flow must be protected, and STDI has an established customer base that will continue to grow with the internet exclusive of potential Y2K problems. This all-out focus on Y2K has already dented the tech sector and IMHO, this has created a great 'buy' opportunity for people like me who thought they missed the boat but were patient and waited.

I ordered an investor relations package for SDTI 3 days ago over the web, it came today priority mail. Very nice!!!

In this industry, a commitment to service is important, no matter who you are dealing with, customer, associate, or customer. It reflects well on the company that the package came so soon, so I thought I'd mention it here.

Can I get a summary from knowledgeable thread members on Keon, what it means in terms of technology, potential customers, and costs to implement a system. Is this going to be something strictly used by larger companies, or is there applications in small business?

Regards, JB
