In addition, equity volume for the month of March, 1999 reached 165,782,170 shares, an increase of over 30% in comparison to March, 1998 when 127,584,248 shares traded. The PHLX trades over 2600 equity issues.

There were 22 trading days in March, 99. This means the average daily volume for March, 99 was around 7,530,000 shares. This is around 1% of the average daily volume on the NYSE.

PHLX, never traded an option there have you? Buncha loser crooks that screw you at every turn. That volume you cite is insignificant.
