todays warm up: can you say Alan Greenspan?

NEW YORK, May 6 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks were expected to open flat to slightly lower Thursday in cautious trade amid an address by Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan.

The Fed chief was to speak on global financial crises at 0925 EDT/1325 GMT before the Chicago Fed. His speech comes at a time when higher Treasury bond yields have sparked concern in the stock market.

''We're certainly going to be watching Greenspan this morning,'' said Thom Brown, managing director at Rutherford, Brown & Catherwood.
