Mike, I am totally familiar with Cablespan, having trialed it for Time Warner several years ago and following its development ever since. It's a terrific offering, and generally I slot it in second place for VoHFC after the leader, Cornerstone Voice by Arris Interactive (NORTEL/ANTEC). It is best suited because of its architecture and cost structure for rural and light density suburban applications, in my opinion. High density applications will usually gravitate toward Cornerstone or ADC's Homeworx (which uses a higher order modulation to obtain a higher bits per Hz ratio and therefore greater spectral efficiency).

I have it that there are several Cablespan deployments in the US currently, and they are second source supplier for most of the big players in the cable industry doing cable telephony. However, they have made many large inroads in Europe. Lots of big wins and large contracts over there for Cablespan. Sorry I don't have any details at this time.

Hope that helps, Mike.

Re: TLAB and Cablespan

JMD(the other, other Mike),
I see that DenverTechie already responded to your question regarding Cablespan. We did have a discucssion on it once before. I tried to find it, but I can't now. We had a general discussion on all cable telephony products about four months ago? The discussion is back there somewhere. If you happen to find it, or anyone else, please link us to it because I would be interested in reviewing that information once again.

BTW, there are some very good details on the Arris Interactive (Cornerstone product)back there too. Maybe about 5 or 6 months ago.
