Golf Season is Here With IntelliGolf 4.0 for Palm-size PCs
CAMERON PARK, Calif., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Karrier Communications, today announced its new IntelliGolf version 4.0 scorecard software for use on 3Com's (Nasdaq: COMS - news) popular Palm connected organizers and Palm-size PCs powered by Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT - news) Window CE operating system. The new IntelliGolf software now 1) calculates a golfer's approximate Handicap; 2) includes over 60 Performance Statistics to help golfer's improve their game; 3) adds a new Desktop Wizard that makes managing course information even easier, and 4) improves support for multiple-season golf databases. Two versions of IntelliGolf are immediately available, the IntelliGolf Par edition and the IntelliGolf Birdie edition.

''Golfers in 49 countries worldwide have been using IntelliGolf since 1997 to automate traditional pencil/paper golf scoring, collect game improving statistics, and place friendly wagers using their palm device,'' said Craig A. IntelliGolf is available in two editions. The Par edition contains the ''Scoring, Statistics and Sidegame'' software that is compatible with all Palm organizers and Palm-size PCs. The Par software brings added enjoyment to a round of golf by automating golf scoring, collecting ''on course'' statistics, and providing 17 sidegames (e.g. Skins) for placing friendly wagers. List price $29.95.

The Birdie edition is a full ''Scoring System.'' It includes all of the Par's features plus 1) Windows 95/98/NT-compatible desktop software for doing trend analysis on all rounds played; 2) Palm-to-Windows conduit software for uploading round data to the golfer's PC; 3) Internet-based download access to thousands of worldwide golf courses, and 4) Handicap approximation. List price $39.95.

IntelliGolf is compatible with all Palm Computing organizers including the Palm V, Palm III, PalmPilot and Palm 1000/5000 plus all Palm-size PCs powered by Microsoft Windows CE. They include the Compaq Aero 2100 and 2150, Hewlett-Packard Jornada 420, and the Casio Cassiopeia. IntelliGolf is Beyond.com's ''Top 10'' best seller in the Handheld category.

SKYT is also a mention of TokyoJoes for whatever its worth.

Not that I'm aware of. If it does really go, the way it
has based here leads me to believe it would be a premium on
a 17 price, 20+? Your guess as good as mine.

Take a look at its chart, tell me what you think. Seems
like holding both OMPT and SKYT may be a good conservative play.
Just haven't had a dip to get in on OMPT. SKYT has been fairly
solid, like COMS. Sort of looking for safer plays at the moment.
Personally I'm tempted to add more SKYT, just not doing that
now... holding.
