I have a call into the ASE as well. I'm in Calgary so I'll keep bugging them until I get in touch with the right person. I'm starting with Dean Stuart.

I just had a great 10-15 minute conversation with Dean Stuart from the ASE, very nice guy and informative. He stated that everything is going as scheduled with SRU. He explained that RTO's take quite a bit of time. To appreciate the complexity he directs shareholders to the Alberta Stock Exchange website and circular eight under publications where it is spelled out:

ase.ca

He said to look for something to possibly happen by May 7th with Starfield. As far as the birthday boy goes, he said if it was his 50th birthday he'd be taking some time off as well. I have to agree with him, it only happens once in your life. It just so happens that this birthday boy is in charge of Starfield's file.

He added that he is happy to speak with investors any time they wish to call. He is a member of SI and reads the threads. He spoke of me, Jim Bishop and Mr. Metals on this thread. We talked about due diligence and how SI is effective in empowering the small investor through networking. He mentioned he plays the odd VSE stock personally and it's difficult to know which posters on SI to trust, implying motives vary by individual poster. If a rumor comes out involving an ASE company on SI they may call the company to check, but it's the trading pattern prior to news that they look at most.

When I mentioned the average investor and small company likely sees anyone in regulatory authority as similar to the gestapo he kind of chuckled and said the ASE is out to protect investors. He added he feels proud when an Alberta company is successful. I told him SRU may have the goods and this could be a big success story for the ASE. Anyway, he's a good guy to speak with and I'd encourage anyone to call him should they require specific ASE company info or info on rules regarding the ASE.
