The Mizzou post is from one that has the following as the only quote in their user profile:
"Some day ASND will be bigger than CSCO" - Joseph Noel of H&Q
Consider the source.
Noise.

48% of 3com revenue is NIC's what will happen when Intel Networking division keeps
embedding nic functionality directly onto pc and server motherboards at 1/50 the cost?

3com better build up palm computing faster and get zdtv to push even more the 3com
camera's...but wait now 3com looks like a consumer electronics firm and SONY
SONY SONY SONY will eat 3com for lunch.

bottom line...3com killed by LU and CSCO from above

3com fled to safety in low end but SONY will eat them there. pilot will be short lived
and founding technical wizards who started palm pilot made there money when they
sold to us robotics and now they have all left after 3com bought us robotics...watch
there new product.

Intel killing 3com in OEM business for ethernet and mid tier amongst the reseller
community; and bay networks is also beating 3com in mid sized business. ooouch.

bye bye 3com. * siemens or some old world firm will come buy 3com at half the mk
cap it is today just to get access into usa marketplace

.....short coms and make money.

tiny mizzou and jach haven't realized yet that the business of investing to make money has has no place for company loyalty, but then again some people feel luckier in one casino vs. another. They need to get out more and see the other ways to invest.

Jeez, Mizzou. Shows how much you know. Stratacom was the correct purchase at the correct time. Stratacom has added tremendous value in terms of growth to both the top and bottom lines for a long time now. But alas, all revolutionary products become passe after time. I bet you one day we will all be laughing about how stupid those cellular phones were, because we'll all have video phones with wireless Internet connectivity built into our wrist watches.

Mizzou,

You are so poorly informed it's really laughable.

1-StrataCom continues to generate significant revenue for CSCO - probably something close to ASND's annual revenues.
2-CSCO is smart enough to know where to put their resource rather than developing technology for technology sake. This keeps costs down and focuses the organization on a common goal....this is simply good management.
3-You do enough saber rattling for everyone on SI. You're the one that should shut up....or perhaps post something that is useful instead of your constant and pathetic GO ASND! rants.
