Microsoft Enterprise Alliance Partnership - 500 LGS

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--Microsoft Canada Co. (NASDAQ: MSFT) and LGS
Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LGSA) today announced an Enterprise partner
alliance that will see LGS invest in the training of 500 of its
employees as Microsoft Certified Engineers (MCSE's) and Developers
(MCSD's) and Database Developers (MCDBA's) to design, develop and
implement Microsoft business solutions for their customers in
Canada, the USA and Europe over the next three years. The
agreement addresses the tremendous growth Microsoft is
experiencing in the enterprise space and the need for partners who
can deliver rich enterprise solutions to their customers. The
first of its kind in Canada, it is expected that this alliance
will have an international impact.
"More and more, companies are looking for ready-made solutions to
help them prosper in an economy that is increasingly becoming
reliant on knowledge management," said Raymond Lafontaine,
President of LGS Group. "Microsoft products occupy prime space in
the enterprise market and continue to gain market share. This
agreement allows LGS to make additional breakthroughs in the high
growth market of IT turnkey integrated business solutions."
As the first-ever Canadian partner for this type of Microsoft
partnership alliance, LGS Group joins the ranks of an exclusive
group of approximately fifteen Microsoft Enterprise partners
world- wide. The agreement enables LGS to offer clients reusable
business solutions based on Microsoft's complete range of products
in the rapid-growth areas of electronic commerce, work and
knowledge management, data warehousing, as well as sectors such as
health, retail and government services.

for integrated, end-to-end information technology solutions that
help our mutual customers improve their business operations,

In addition, LGS plans to standardize worldwide its internal
systems on the Microsoft enterprise solutions platform. This
standardization includes deployment of Microsoft(R) Windows NT,
Microsoft BackOffice(TM), Microsoft Commerce Server, Microsoft(R)
SQL Server(TM) 7.0, Microsoft(R) Office 2000 and Microsoft(R)
Exchange Server 5.5 for global messaging and collaboration.
