I agree with your assessment that short term speculators could accumulate CCO shares in anticipation of a Court ruling within the next couple of months. The bet is that the upside (over $4) times the probability is more than the downside (maybe $0.50) times it's probability. That seems like a reasonable short term bet. It should be remembered that both sides have further legal options no matter how this Appeals Court decides. Hopefully some sort of intermediate compromise (along the lines that I have suggested) could be reached by reasonable people. Even though I believe that CCO is in the right in this case, I would prefer an early modest settlement rather than a fight to the bitter end with the all or nothing outcome.
