I think this EMC sell-off is a classic, lemmingheaded driven phenomenon. We are in a secular data storage growth era and EMC leads it.

Does it? Then why is it losing 20% of its market share to Hitachi?

How many times in the last 3 years has EMC tanked to rise again? Yet it tripled in that same period of time.

What a blessing in disguise.

donald,

i agree about the HP deal. it's WAY overblown. if the HP account was so important to EMC, we would have seen a last-ditch effort of desperation on EMC's part to keep the account. the fact that they didn't panic and still feel confident about meeting future revenue and earnings growth goals is a good sign.
