Reporters sell the news with a little dramatic sensationalism.
This dispute will probably raise the price of diamonds if anything.
If S.A. has no big stones-where do big stones come from?
Marsfontein has lots of big stones. Angola has bigger stones.
Maybe Sierra Leonne has some big stones too.

Hello Phillip,

I suppose that DeBeers is trying to put the squeeze on Maduna. I think that if Maduna sticks to his guns we will see SUF get higher prices for its Diamonds long term.

Short term, with the price as low as what it is today, I do not think we can get much lower. A friend of mine suggests 4.25 as the absolute low. I do not believe it will get that low. Things will get better, just do not know when.

I believe that someone mentioned on the thread that CJ was coming back today. If that is the case, maybe we will see some SA news out tomorrow.

Cheers !!! Peter
