**OT** zurd...
While we're at it, let's toss in Legislators that constantly make laws that favor big business over the individual, give corporations the same rights as individuals, AND a completely corrupt system of campaign contributions.
I live in the 2nd district of Oklahoma. Mostly poor people. A lot of Cherokee Indians. 4 to 1 registered Democrats and we elected a Republican rep.in 1992. Since a friend of mine was raising money to run against this guy in '96 I was curious as to where the incumbent's $1.5M war chest came from. I was rummaging around at opensecrets.org and noticed a $600 donation from some guy in Dallas, Texas, and thought what the hell does some guy in Texas care about the little old, poor, 2nd District in Oklahoma? I dug around some more and saw where he worked at DSC Communications. Then I found about 30 other people that work there who ALSO made individual contributions totallings nearly $20 grand! I guess it had something to do with our reps being on the Congressional Telecommunications Committee.
Oh yea. my butt's still sore.
