Sun, the K7 is due in 6/99. You can keep an eye on this and other shifting goalposts at:

Yes, the Voodoo drivers have better performance under 3DNow than TNT2. This is one of the reasons why the V3 is the recommended card for all AMD rigs and mid-range Pentiums.

3dfx has the best 3DNow support of any 3D card. I think AMD actually enhanced the original 3dfx mini-GL driver for quake and then gave the code to 3dfx who has since maintained and enhanced it. nvidia says they have 3DNow enhanced drivers, but they only make something like a 5 fps difference. They also claim to be working on better 3DNow drivers. Anandtech recently did a review of super7 systems 3D performance:

He didn't test the TNT2, but 3dfx seems well in the lead (~2x) over the ATI and TNT. Even Tom said, grudgingly, in his TNT2 preview that K6-2 owners may want to consider the voodoo3, at least until nvidia releases better drivers.

I heard that Camino is delayed until September not because of technical reasons, but for Rambus production to ramp up to acceptable levels. Just a rumor.

Sun,

Camino is delayed till the fall. Most best guesses have it based on the lack of RDRAM availability (and price.) I haven't heard of any issues with functionality of the chipset, but it is possible they had to have a respin, as the delay matches the timeframe for such action.

The cost of a Camino board, plus a processor to put on it, plus memory, plus an AGP4X video card will be so far above the price/performance sweet band I can't see going that route for some time. Right now it's hard to beat a Celeron on any front, though I would love to have a box which would give me > 30fps in Falcon4.
