thanks Rob. I was short AMZN (from the week ago) until i bot it back to cover about an hour ago. For the record, I am flat now.

When I put on a short position I have a policy to only short one issue at a time because of the higher risk associated with being on that side. It requires constant close monitoring, even with a hedge. Accordingly, I am now flat, and will sit back and observe, and perhaps cull a fresher perspective, not only of AMZN, but the entire group, and the market. I find if I don't take a step back, it is too easy to loose perspective, and miss other opportunities -- either for the upside or the downside.

In the meantime, at this particular "second" in time, (and perhaps through tomorrow's opening) I sense the market seems to be extending an opportunity for longs to sell into strength. :-) that applies to longs that are short-term traders....longs that are long term investors should be ignoring the ups and downs of the market intra-day, intra-week, and intra-month.

all the best.
