Actually, here's how I view Armstrong's comments:

1) MSFT and SUNW will both provide software for all the settop boxes throughout T's cable systems, with MSFT definitely winning a majority of the deployments due to some little long lost clause in the Investment Agreement that T and MSFT sign.

2) MSFT will still dominate the settops in the Comcast systems due to there $1B investment, and this is even better than before due to Comcast's purchase of 2MM subs from T in this Media One deal.

3) ATHM and RR are merged. Done deal. Armstrong said, and I quote "this arrangement with Media One and Comcast will only strengthen our relationship with TWX." This is great news, especially since Comcast will sell some of its nonvoting stock in ATHM to T in this deal.

4) Gut feel on this one, but I believe MSN will get prime placement on the ATHM/XCIT network as part of this new AT&T/MSFT relationship.

I am starting to think my AOL investment is becoming more of a "COME BET" (it's a Craps term, folks) than ever before.

Bullish stuff for MSFT and ATHM.
