I e-mailed Wendy at EDIG and got the following response (in minutes after sending):

I was on the SNDK thread back in December or January about that subject, but they claimed there was no partnership. I emailed SNDK, but got no reply.

I would think that the relationship would have to be between the OEM and not the flash maker.
