Hi Frank

It seems fairly obvious in hind sight that MSFT saw this as a prime opportunity to score some concessions from T in certain areas. How serious were they in the comcast talks? who knows... Do they have DTV aspirations... Oh yes!

Imagine every TV in the world running a microsoft operation system. (except for the odd apple (or linux) TV <gg>)

regards
Jay

Funny how the street seems to consider ATHM as a second tier Internet stock. Can you imagine when the media and the public really accepts this as a leader. Just my opinion but even at these prices it seems cheap to me. DO your own research but all my bets going foward are on Athm.

Frank, Take your time. Also, if you have been following Sony (SNE) and what they are up to concerning home media and what Sun Microsystems has up their sleeve with Jini, you can see that the set top box is the Trojan horse of the Internet and it's ever increasing importance in our lives. So your comments about MSFT are right on.

Mr. Frank Coluccio,

I have followed your posts for some time, and you are definitely one of the best sources of information I have seen in any of these arenas. I beg to differ, however, that nobody has picked up on MSFT's true intentions. A group of us has been discussing this point at length over on the MSFT Board for some time now. As a matter of fact, I visited the ATHM Board last month to discuss it with the Group here but few people seem interested:

Message 9098473

I am a shareholder in ATHM. I have owned this stock for a long time and am quite bullish on its future. I spent a few years in the telecom sector and have seen the AT&T/RBOCs/MSOs in action. I would enjoy the opportunity to discuss the market dynamics with you in this sector at length in the future provided I can track you down. We'd be interested in your input on the MSFT Board as well.

Take care,

Teflon
