. . . . Today's trades and some thoughts. . . . . KTWO still quite undervalued, IMO. CDNW beat whisper. . .but I don't expect much of a rebound tomorrow. .. .shorts have quite a grip. . .could break 10 in next 3-4 weeks. Still out until under 11. Bought some CLEV [Cleveland Indians] today on speculation of CNBC CEO revealing business plan for increasing shareholder value. . .also great new stadium always sold out. . .and increase in ticket prices, should keep company outperforming last year. . .also new merchandising deals. . . and Sosa/McGuire fever continuing into this year means a bigger year for MLB as a whole. Cleveland heating up again with Browns re-birth. . .will there be some tie-in to ownership there? Perhaps. Nearest term = morning gapper on CEO appearance. . .free shares held long thru summer may be sort of fun as well. Longer term prospects to be better defined on interview. Still holding LTD Limited. . bought mid-term on IPO and mutual fund interest. Playing some T as a position as suggested yesterday. . .but mostly to build bigger long-term position. . . can't get it big enough. Now whenever T moves, expect XCIT and ATHM to follow. . . that is only because they are the ones the individual investors recognize as being tied to T. However, there are far more holdings. . .and larger. . .TVGIA [TV GUIDE] is majority T. LMG.a, LMG.b, TUNE, TUNEP, GIC, NWS, UMG [and all derivatives] are all now part of T's family. Left most of TELT, but kept some for bounce [not knowing how high]. . .will re-enter at low for next time. . . was a great trade. Holding HRBC right thru the internet turbulance. . .holds like iron. . .Paul Allen picked a winner here. Noticed BDE had 10k buy sitting at 4 today, like a wall against selling. . . .there was no way it could dip below without some sort of panic moves. . . some greeedy ones are holding price up, so that new buyers must pay more than they did, rather than less. . .old trick. Expect more rotation tomorrow as hedge managers dump high-fliers for who knows what. Rande Is
