Probably because Cyrix isn't exactly going to disappear. Maybe when someone buys it they will try to give it a better life. I don't think Cyrix is dead, they're just being frozen for a little while.

Cyrix has been losing market share very rappidly. Intel is hurting AMD and they will continue to so regardless of Cyrix presence.
