Forecross Signs Contracts for 14 Million Lines of Year 2000 IV&V with Canadian Bank

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 5, 1999--Forecross(R) Corporation (OTCBB:FRXX), a legacy migration and year 2000 solution company, announced today that it has signed contracts with a large Canadian bank and its U.S. subsidiary, for the independent validation and verification (IV&V), of approximately 14 million lines of application source code.

The code is comprised of IBM MVS COBOL, Tandem and Unisys COBOL, and IBM and Tandem Assembler languages. Under these contracts, Forecross will use its Confirm/2000(TM) product, an automated independent validation and verification (IV&V) software-based service. The projects will be completed in the Forecross Confirm/2000(TM) automated factory in San Francisco.

About Forecross Year 2000 Solutions

Forecross provides automated solutions for all phases of year 2000 projects including assessment, renovation and independent verification and validation (IV&V). Numerous languages are supported by Complete/2000(R) and Confirm/2000(TM) including COBOL, CA-ADS, APS, C, C++, CSP, CA-Easytrieve, CA-IDEAL, IMSADF II, PL/I, PowerBuilder, CA-TELON, CA-MetaCOBOL. COBOL solutions are available for AS/400, DEC/VAX, HP, MVS, Tandem, Unisys, VM, VSE and Wang.

Forecross Confirm/2000(TM) for IV&V accurately identifies source code that is compliant, non-compliant or that needs to be investigated. Because it uses a different approach from the date-seed-driven renovation and IV&V products and services on the market, Confirm/2000(TM) provides a truly independent validation of the accuracy of previous renovations.

Mark, I think this time is different because of the timing in relation to the year 2000. Also, Pat is pretty darned smart so she makes sure to not tell anyone anything that would be counter to the SEC rules.

For instance, it is legal to say that there will be news coming out soon. It would of course be illegal to say what the news is before it is announced.

By things in the works I mean large IV&V bids that are out and relatively large migration bids that are out. I thought people might like to hear it from Pat herself. As I say, I am hopeful that some of these are accepted. The more contracts Forecross gets, the greater their credibility.

I talked to Pat Jones today about the large IV&V contract announced today. I couldn't get her to tell me how many dollars it is worth or what bank it is with. So much for my clout.

What she did say is that it is with a former migration client so that narrows it down to either Bank of Montreal or Royal bank of Canada both of which are listed on the Forecross website.

A while back Forecross had a sale of $.10 per line of converted code so my guess is that this contract is worth over a million dollars. Again, this is my guess.

I think IV&V's are about .07 to .10 per line of code. Do you have information on the going rates?

Mark, I am still at a large paper loss on Forecross. I really think we have turned the corner. I am still stubbornly holding and I will be the first to admit that it has been the most painful hold of my life.

I appreciate your input and skepticism.
