One thing I've seen the MMs do in the past on another stock is to buy shares at the ask and lower the bid. Those trades towards the end could have been sells at the ask by someone who's thinking they are getting a deal.

By lowering the bid/ask on sells (at the ask of say 4 3/4) they could effectively cover the shares they sold in the morning at $5/share with a profit.

These are just some of my thoughts and opinions of a possible scenario. At any rate, it does allow strong hands (the loyal CVIA-ians) to accumulate more shares at lower prices. This is the trump card that the MM don't seem to know about.
