OK here is some information, RE:(IATV) I am trying hard to figure out this MSFT and AOL ATHM AT&T relationship and where it may go due to recent buyouts and deals etc etc. This is complicated! I feel the MSFT and AT&T relationship may fall apart, I hope it does, MSFT needs to stay where it is. I think they will fight, I want AT&T to pass them by. That would be great for once. IATV should fair well, we were buying today in between the low and the high. :) ============= I am reading through and into all of the recent news, rumors and reports on this MSFT, AOL, ATHM GIC, SFA, TUNE, Liberty etc etc. I feel confident that "Microsoft's motivations are quite simple," said Thomas Hensel, an analyst at Everen Securities. "Microsoft wants to be the provider of the infrastructure from the software point of view [for set-top boxes] as well as providing the content and information flowing through the pipes." I have a strong gut feeling that IATV is in negotiations with all of this behind the curtains. There is no way that Liberty, ATHM and GIC will let the possibilities of IATV ownership and patents slip away! Negotiations are on! IATV has to be in the kitchen preparing for the feast. I feel there is no way possible that the MSFT connection with AT&T will hamper efforts set forth by Liberty and IATV. If anything AT&T may and surely could say "NO" to MSFT, I surely hope they do. This MSFT negotiation seems quite on the wrong side of the fence after Gov't skepticism. If AT&T does work with MSFT then the powers to be will work out the details in favor of Liberty, News Corp and the rest at IATV etc. (This is an opinion and I may be way off) Bruce SCGgeocities.com
