Comment re: your comments

First, thanks.

1. Agree

2. Agree

3. 5 Year growth rates are consensus from Yahoo! research. I have not filtered the data, so you could be correct about underestimates.

4. Yes, I have egg on my face. I must have fumbled a calculator key. My apologies.

5. Feel free to roll your own <G> I'm just trying to grapple with some way to back into the valuation issue. So far, everything I've seen is nonsense because there is little or no weight given to very imporant issues.

But while you're quibbling, let me throw in one more quibble. None of this is based on cash flow, and as we know, cash flow or free cash flow is where it's at. The earnings numbers are all over the place because of variable accounting treatments (purchase accounting vs. pooling of interests, purchased R&D writeoffs, restructuring charges, etc.)

Mr Fun,
I have 1000 LU + 1000 CSCO which I have held for past 2 yrs - Both have done extremly well, but now with all the talk re CSCO's not getting ATM switches, I would appreciate your insight on which co (or both) have the greatest potential for growth
Thanks in advance, and I appreciate your posts a lot
