A question for one & all as I am not an accountant type.......
Since the beginning of the fiscal year ended 3/99, DCI signed LOI or
definitive agreements to acquire Payless Comm (4/98 - current status
unknown to me), Edge Comm (consumated), Global Telecom Ntwk (4/98-
current status unknown to me), and a definitive agreement in 7/98 to
acquire Locus Corp. All these were privately held companies.
How can it be determined what the amount of goodwill was in the
purchase price? Is this where the SEC also sees a problem? Will the
goodwill figures ever be truly known by shareholders? Basically, is
the one-time non cash charge the problem or is it something else?
Finally, and I might be dense here, but doesn't pooling of interests
impact EARNINGS and not REVENUES as indicated by the SEC suspension
notice? Thanks for any insights.............................V
