LG, I understand your point.

Just didn't want inexperienced folks to get the wrong idea.

The Trader's Wheel: Hell's Triangle

By Alan Farley, Contributor

Tuesday, May 4, 1999 5:45pm ET

The classic Descending Triangle illustrates the painful rollover from bull to bear market better than any other pattern. But why does it work with such deadly accuracy? Most traders don't understand how or why patterns predict outcomes. Some even believe these important tools rely on mysticism or convenient curve fitting. The simple truth is more powerful: congestion patterns in technical analysis reflect the impact of crowd psychology on changes in price and momentum.

Internet Stock Valuations

By Don Steinmann, Contributor

Friday, April 23, 1999 8:00am ET

The mania that is going on right now in the Internet stocks is like nothing we've seen in the last 50 years. You'd probably have to go back to the craze for Florida real estate in the 1920's to find a market that is so frenetic. It is truly a mania, where all common sense goes out the window. It's all based upon the greater fool theory "I may be a great fool to buy this stock, but I'll find some greater fool to pay even more". Valuations are being totally ignored. Whether these make sense from a business point of view doesn't enter the minds of the purchasers.

When the next “wheel of fortune” winner comes blowing in on to the MDA thread spewing “new era” BS, it will have been worth your time to have read the above article...trust me!

Of course, there is nothing wrong with making money in these speculative issues, just don't start believing the BS...
