A good quote. I have had the honor of arguing with Mortimer Adler, after a lecture or two given at St. John's College, which I attended. He is a smart, and tough, guy! You are correct about the confusion of species of rights. But also, the focus on rights has often not addressed the claim of the community on the individual, and the best way to adjust conflicting goods....The areas that are particularly worth attention are the one's, like the extension of free- speech protection to commercial pornography, where the right in question may have a limit.
