A friend of mine, Steve Riggins, sent around a little review of ABL on DVD, as follows:

WOW!

A Bugs Life on DVD is a must have for your DVD collection. It is clearly
(pun intended) the best looking DVD disc to date.

The disc uses DVD's anamorphic feature, so you can use the menu to switch
between letterbox or widescreen.

Because the movie was re-rendered for NTSC resolution, its extremely clear,
near eye popping. The AC-3 sound track is up to the task as well, not
overloaded in the bass and very crisp.

The disc also includes Pixar's award winning "Geri's Game" and both sets of
credits with the bloopers. I would have liked to have had the bloopers
rendered anamorphically as well, with their own menu, but I'll survive.

If you want to see how good DVD can really look, get A Bugs Life!

Steve

P.S. The movie is pretty good, too!
