could you explain a little bit more what you just wrote?
I have never read how much leverage there was from brex --its collapse
must have wiped out so many wealthy investors..who was left to invest in the speculative juniors and in the majors as people must have been forced to sell those for margin calls.. besides the egg over institutional managers who invested in BRE-X and probably never wanted to hear the word goldmine again..
We were right currencies did collapse and derivatives played havoc on the markets etc..but the central bankers starting singing about selling their gold in an ideal climate to bash it since so many were
wounded..
now with the IMF and gold not responding to the downside..
things have gotten very interesting
