It's possible but they were still hot to trot - but as you know lost out in the end to Freeport. It would have been embarrasing for Munk - but that's all - the reasons seniors like juniors is that the latter bring them all the deals - or most of them - and the reason is motivation on the part of promoters - large companies become too big and beaurocratic for grass roots stuff. The reason companies hedge is that it takes one variable out of the equation - the others are grade and cost. Bre-X was the big daddy of frauds - but these things are all too commonplace.
