Coastal is an excellent NG play. We are no longer "Strictly Drilling" but I think most people here are predisposed to the upstream side rather than a mainly downstream operation like CGP. We want to get as close to the wellhead as possible <ggg>. CGP is also very close to a 52-week high while most of us like to play the "comeback kids" and hope to ride them to their own 52-week highs, like RIG at 60.<vbg> That may be easier soon since the drillers topped out in the first week of May 1998 and, shortly afterward, fell off a cliff.<ggg>

Another "natural" Ngas play is Alberta Energy. Despite my having left a trail of breadcrumbs to the gingerbread house exchange2000.com
apparently the thought of "Canadian Stocks" scared everyone off. Well, take heart and heed because Alberta Energy is cross listed on the NYSE under symbol AOG. Being big ($3.5b US$ market cap) it stresses the "P" in E and P. Three of its other notable strengths are 1) its ready access to northern tier US states through recently completed pipelines, 2) currency conversion advantages due to the recent appreciation of the loonie vs yankee dollar and 3) half interest in Ashton's diamond exploration fields in the Buffalo Hills of NW Alberta.

So much research, so little time. Paul, if you have the time, could you do a small write up for us on CPE? I would be very grateful, as I have added them to my NG watch list.

Thanks in advance,
Michael
