"I know it is late in the day, but I haven't had time to read the newspaper so I don't know what MSFT gets for their bucks apart from a percentage of set boxes."

According to an analyst on CNBC MSFT would get $8-$9 per box for the investment. The analyst was saying that they would have access to a few million boxes and that MSFT shareholders would not want to dilute their EPS by spending a cool 5 billion dollars.

MSFT lost big here IMO because their investment in Comcast is not what they anticipated, AT&T is a major headache for them and the desk top operating systems life cycle is close to being on its downward slope. How steep the slope is anyones guess.

All IMO, Bob.
