Mike,

I think SILK is a steal at $35. It's gonna blow past $100/share before end of 1999.

I am also in a cash strapped position. No way to buy SILK without selling ATHM or CMGI at the moment and they are both aiming upwards.

I might do some IRA trading tomorrow. I don't think I can pass it up.

Stuart

Mike- I'm like you, I wasn't quite prepared to take action with silknet, and now feel it is a little too late.
BUT I've got a game plan for CMGI's next IPO's namely Chemdex,I-cast etc. for this year. One, I will keep a study going on how 5 previous IPO's of CMGI are doing, be ready with a first 15 minute buy order for these next IPO's, with say, a order for 25-50k worth of stock and will have developed a game plan by that time of an exit strategy of say a profit level of 2-4 times initial investment, and will pay off the mortgage.

Well...Mike...before you put this plan into effect..talk to your brokerage....

I had a nasty experience...that cost me about $49K....

A few weeks ago...on my first day with AB Watley....I saw this same type of opportunity with my CMGI.....so...I sold at $232...with the plan to buy back in at $228 (close to 1500 shares)....

Wellllll....sure enough...the stock heads for 228 and my system WOULD NOT ACCEPT THE ORDER!

Apparently....no one...is supposed to be able to "day trade" meaning sell and buy in the same day....or buy then sell...more than their "day trading power"....which is set..at the beginning of the day based on the amount of CASH in the account...

well...I did not have the prerequisite $200K of cash in my account prior to my sell....(although the cash was in from the sale at $232....but not in the am...)....so I couldn't REBUY!!! the same stock...I could buy something else...and hold it overnight...but couldn't buy and sell...because of this daytrading power issue....

so be careful.....I ended up having to buy back in the next day...higher...BIG BUMMER!

sigh....Mary
