Looks as though others may be doing the Fed's job for them, Victor.

PIMCo's Bill Gross said today rates are range-bound for now, but that the economy will slow and the Fed will remain on hold. Still, he's favoring only short-term notes. Kinda' hard for me to get a feel for what might happen now. It'll come though.

Weren't we just discussing a while back the terms for purchasing the remainder of the YPF stake? Of course we were!

YPF, schm-YPF. I like Perez. <g>

MSDW today recommended dumping YPF for Telmex, Cemex, and a few Brasilian issues, saying upside now on YPF is 5%. When last I looked Cemex had a load of debt, yet they have always handled their finances very well. Seems to me, however, someone in that organisation departed recently. It may just have been the fellow responsible for managing their financing. I'd have to check it out.

Do you know how Argentines train their polo ponies?

They "beat them to a pulp." Yes, yes, I heard it with my own ears.

HAVE NO PATIENCE FOR ANYTHING THAT ISN'T TOUGH, those Argentines. Except their beef.

Maybe this'll be enough to stir Juan Z'Pancho into making an appearance.

Hope you are doing well also, Victor.
