Wow, this is uncanny. I could have written that myself. In fact, I practically did, earlier today: From Blodget: AOL's strategy ''hasn't changed. They've made the decision that it would be economically stupid to do it. ''In the near-term, it's not a big issue, but long-term it is the kind of thing that can change the company's growth dynamics. ''Cable companies will realize that providing customer support, doing marketing, costs a lot. To have AOL take care of that for you may be the right economic decision (for cable companies), especially when you gain access to AOL's 17 million subscribers. With its subscriber base, AOL holds a lot of cards.''
