off topic from game nuts

Hey, I was curious about something. What is the easiest way to hook up with someone on TFC. Is it just one big honkin' chat room or is it channelled somehow? If it is channelled then how do you find someone? As for game servers I have been lingering on Shaft's Big Score a lot of times. I tried out the engineer last night. They're a big pain in the butt too. Laughed like hell when I confronted a snipe at the door and when I tossed a grenade his way he jumped into the room to avoid it. Big laffs there as I just stood there and watched him take his medicine!

>>> The big thing, however, is dsl. I've had it since January, and I can't tell you how big of a difference it has made using my computer. Having a dedicated connection at home rules. It is the way we should all use the Internet. Broadband will be big...big..big... I will never go back to a modem. If I buy a new house next year..you can be sure it will be in a dsl service area. I'm fortunate to also have a cable modem option...but dsl was a better solution for me. I highly recommend it. <<<

I'm having DSL installed in my home, too. It's more expensive than cable modem, but more reliable since you do not lose speed just because there's a lot of cable modem traffic on your provider. My DSl is being set up at 512k bits/second speed. I thought about going at T1 speed, like I have a work, but that's overkill for my home needs.
