Analysis and why Marimba is not a threat to Novadigm.....

Martin,
Thanks for your comments. I think Marimba is not a threat to this stock....The entrance of Marimba into this market can be used by "novadigm marketing dept" to prove that the market is expanding and has lot of growth - hence attracting the attention of big players like Marimba !! This could be a pitch for analysts/investors. I believe that the market for "software distribution/maintanence" is expanding at a rate where all the players in it can make money - there is a huge need for these type of products and the best product that is out there so far is owned by Novadigm.
Secondly, if novadigm stays focused on furthering their product supremacy, then ultimately it will be either bought out, or will emerge as a clear leader in this technology front.

Another point I forgot to mention in my analysis above is that Novadigm makes its products to work on multiple platforms - Sun, HP, IBM and Windows-NT workstations, whereas IBM would focus only on their workstations. This would be a big selling point, just like how Netscape used this strategy to grow big in "cross-platform" products.

I hope there are some clever marketing people, management guys in Novadigm to take advantage of the huge potential that is in front of them. I would like to hear any comments from "bears" of Novadigm or people who think Novadigm stock won't make gains in the next one year....just to see their side of the analysis....I am going to post it in Marimba thread and IBM to see responses....
