AMCI is looking better and better...this out today...stock .42/.49: (BSNS WIRE) American Millennium Corporation, Inc. and Meek Refrigeration American Millennium Corporation, Inc. and Meek Refrigeration, Inc. Sign Agreement Business Editors MOUNT DORA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1999--American Millennium Corporation, Inc. (AMCI) (Nasdaq OTC:AMCI) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Odessa, Texas-based Meek Refrigeration, Inc. to market and share in hardware and monitoring revenues of the AMCI TeleLink 2056 (TM). This agreement is a direct result of earlier testing of the TeleLink 2056 (TM) system by one of Meek Refrigeration's customers, the owner of a chain of 250 national brand name convenience stores in west Texas. The pilot program installed a refrigeration monitoring system capable of reporting equipment failures and temperature changes. Stephen F. Watwood, Vice President of Business Development for AMCI, stated, "The pilot test demonstrates our system's capability to dial, page, or fax an alert to up to eight locations that a refrigeration system has failed or is failing. The unit will repeat the call-outs until the alarm is acknowledged. Quick response to a failing compressor can often make the difference in saving thousands of dollars of perishables". Meek Refrigeration has over 3,100 customers in the Midland/Odessa area, according to Meek Refrigeration, Inc. President Lynn Crawford. "We will explore additional applications for and deployment of the TeleLink 2056 (TM) into our existing customer base where ever it makes sense", he stated. Meek Refrigeration already has approval for AMCI to begin a second pilot program with another national convenience store chain. Some of our other initiatives include monitoring and alarming for critical cheese and dough temperatures in pizza restaurants, a major grocery store's refrigerated food cases, and food grade CO2 tanks for soft drink dispensers to call for a refill, according to Crawford. AMCI is bringing to the market cost efficient hardware and software solutions that delivers fast, accurate, and reliable data for a low monthly fee. AMCI offers remote monitoring services for fixed and moving assets such as oil and gas wells, railcars, and intermodal containers via wire-line and wireless technologies, including satellite monitoring. This press release contains forward-looking statements that involve risk and uncertainties that could cause the company's actual results and experience to differ materially from anticipated results and expectations expressed herein. In particular, AMCI's plans may be revised, and its actual results may differ materially from that indicated by its current plans. --30--cp/mi* CONTACT: American Millennium Corporation, Inc., Mount Dora Andrew Cauthen, 352/735-0116 KEYWORD: FLORIDA INDUSTRY KEYWORD: COMED TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPUTERS/ELECTRONICS Today's News On The Net - Business Wire's full file on the Internet with Hyperlinks to your home page.
