*OT* And on top of that, the Fidelity ads are some of the worst on TV (not just financial industry, but all ads). Peter Lynch, I'm sure, is a nice guy and has a great investment track record, but he comes off terrible on TV....Don Rickles, who can (still) be extremely funny, has extremely LAME material to work with..

Reminds, a little, of the tendancy to put athletes, regardless of their ability to project or speak clearly on TV, just because they are athletes (of course, there are SOME good athlete celebrity spokesmen (and women), but there are also an awful lot of bad ones too)...

Don't know what made me think of this but.....at Don Shula's resort in the outskirts of Miami, the entire place (including elevators) is full of Shula, Dolphin, and (old) Colts memorabilia...I had a chance to look at one of the rooms once (a friend was staying there)...right above the bed (even), there is (even) a huge, grinning portrait of Shula! Talk about overkill! Talk about cheesy!

That place has ruined a fine man's reputation (in my book)...<semi-g>
