If you keep whispering these completely unreasonable expectations, you'll set Dell up for a massive selloff when it doesn't do the impossible. ... presuming enough people believe that you know what you're talking about...

JMHO,
Ian

DELL's earnings on the 18th will be at least 2 cents above the whisper number.

Les: You are right something has to wake the folks up to the fact that cyclicals are not growth stocks in this day and age. The growth rates of the leading NAZ stocks indeed do command a premium pE ratio. Your expectations are not out of line and don't worry about misleading the poor sheep that your detractors have so much concern for.

Baaaahhhhhh Baaaahhhh!

Great Post!

PS - Does anyone think that there is any truth to the possible IBM
buyout of DELL? This is being posted all over the Yahoo thread.
IMO No buyouts either way. Presently planned arrangements plus
working together on production or sales of various designs.
Dell's preference is for discrete divisions, working more or less on their own with rewards commensurate with performance. So I would assume that cooperation on the division levels would be attempted first. Just a WAG.

By you whispering +2 cents above the whisper, you add to the tendency that it actually becomes the whisper number. Keep it up for greater viewing displeasure for your stock come earnings time.
