safe trade,

Like your name, sort of a contradiction. Only solution I know of is to open an account with SURETRADE. They offer realtime stock quotes accessed through an 800 number. You can enter a portfolio (10 stocks) and retrieve the quotes quickly.Don't need to fund the account to use this service.

Safe Trade,
Investrade.com offers Trading over Smart Phones and PDA's through w-trade. Fidelity also offers some access through two way Bell South pagers.

If you just want occasional stock quotes you can usually get them on your cell phone using text messaging and an e-mail quote service (there are many). Most text message services offer an e-mail address for your phone (i.e. 5551212@sprint.com).

There are also pager quote services that might work for ya.

At&t's PocketNet also provides some quotes but You again need a smart phone. Smart phones up to this point have been Analog - meaning no battery life but there are some digital ones coming out. One I'm interested in is the Qualcomm PdQ. It's a Palm PDA and and a Cell Phone integrated into one unit. I believe it will let you browse the internet from your cell phone. Motorola is also coming out with some cellphone/PDA units. but I think it's some unknown PDA OS.
