A more positive TA interpretation ...from a friend whose charting skills I have used with success in the past: "I saw that on IQC.COM Technical Stock Charts - ASTN. there are No sells signals technically on the stock yet except one....a Bollinger sell the day after it hit 14.....However, the Stochastics are at 80% which is on the high end...but also going horizontal, not down. MACD is coming down but still on a buy signal. The stock is trading within the Bollinger bands and over it's 11 day moving average .. (good)... low end of the bollinger band is 6 3/4 ...high end around 13 near term. So within these bands a new trading range could be established for awhile.... ASTN could even retest 7 and be OK.... if not, it could see 13 real soon. Tomorrow is a rather important day. The only negative on this chart are the bollinger bands. When a stock breaks out of these bands to the upside or to the downside and then come back to close within the bands it usually means a trend reversal. Notice the day ASTN went over 14... it went right over the top of the bollinger band but had No follow through the next day. That is a negative or a bollinger sell signal because it came back the next day and closed under the upper band and it is still correcting. However, it did that before......the correction from 9 and change took it back under 7...this time it might not go under 9 by much if it follows the same pattern. Someone bought this stock at it's moving average today and it rallied..so maybe the correction is over too..can't be sure until tomorrow with such patterns. But the news is bullish on the company so the odds are with ya. :)"
